You can see decorative elements in the frescoes as well as faux marble. The figure in the corner was used to justify the theory that this was the house of John and Paul as it appears to be an or Orant. Orants are figures from early Christian iconography with arms raised in prayer. Usually these are standing straight on with feet planted on the ground (or floating). In this case though it’s hard to see the body appears to be in movement as if dancing. This is what makes archaeology and art history so interesting!
