It was stunning and a little bit odd to see these flowers growing in the middle of the stadium. There is some evidence that there were extensive gardens here and in fact there are other flowers growing (and were grown and cultivated) in other parts of the Palatine area. We were not sure if this was one of the contemporary installations or just a breath of nature.
