Tiled Domes

Domes of San Giuliano Cathedral, Norman, Baroque, rebuilt in 1909

The main cathedral has a ceramic dome and bell tower. This particular cathedral was originally Norman then added to in 17th century and then again in the 20th century (1909 for church and 1954 bell tower). The top of the building in the foreground was a prison (Bourbon) that has now been converted to a contemporary art museum. They had a ceramic show there (what a surprise)!
