Public area outside temple of Olympian Zeus

Public area in front of Temple of Olympian Zeus

This area of benches was for the public who came to offer sacrifices at the temple. It was at least two times the width of the temple. So this is quite a large area that tells us that the Temple of the Olympian Zeus was one of the largest ever built though never completed and mostly destroyed.
