Temples F and G, Selinunte

Temples F and G, Selinunte, 540-480 BCE

Temple G was under construction when Hannibal and the Carthaginians invaded in 409 BCE. There are huge column drums in various states of construction, some completed, some half hewn from the rock. One wonders as always how all these stones got here. Titans? This temple is second in size only to the Temple of the Olympian Zeus in Agrigento.
