The Great Synagogue was built in 1874 and is at the entrance to the area that once was the Jewish Ghetto. This is also along the Tiber River and just a few hundred yards from the Forum Boarium.

It seems that most cities the stature of Rome, Paris, Athens, etc. are eternal cities; whatever eternal means in a cosmos, yet your photos tell that tale. . Even during the time of year I should be the least green with envy, I am nevertheless tinged with that color of yearning and breathe a bit of your air from this glorious blog!
